Tallowa Dam and Kangaroo River are great places to fish. The best way to fish the area is from a kayak or canoe with entry points at Hampden Bridge, Bendeela Picnic Ground and Tallowa Dam. A fresh water fishing licence is required, $12 from fishing shops, also available from Kangaroo Valley Rural Supplies and the Canoe and Kayak Outfitters in Kangaroo Valley.

Swimming

There are numerous swimming holes to be found along the Kangaroo River. The best spots are probably at the end of Upper River Road. At the end of Mackays Road (heading back into town) turn left and follow Upper River Road to the end of the road.

Berry

There are many antique shops, gift shops, cafes and restaurants in Berry. There are also many National Trust buildings in the village, including the National Bank, Court House, General Post Office and the Customs House.

Berry Markets

The first Sunday of the month a very popular fair is held in the township of Berry. Local produce, gifts and crafts.
